Hospital da Luz Setúbal Celebrates World Sleep Day
Hospital da Luz Setúbal organizes, on March 16, World Sleep Day, a sensitization initiative on the importance for health of sleeping well and having enough hours of sleep.
Sleep disorders, the alterations they cause on behaviour and the diseases they can reveal and potentiate, are the themes to be approached in this event, which will be ensured by professionals of this hospital.
Paula Dias, coordinator of General and Family Medicine from Hospital da Luz Setúbal, will talk about “Insomnia: the old epidemic”, while Marta Fradinho, pneumologist of the Sleep Unit of this hospital, will explain what is “Obstructive sleep apnea: the new epidemic”.
Amélia Feliciano, pneumologist and coordinator of the Sleep Unit, will make the final intervention, talking about “Sleep pathologies: from complaints to treatment”.
The session will take place between 17:00 and 18:00 p.m., at Casa da Baía, in the centre of Setúbal. Entry is free.
