The debates on current topics are back to Hospital da Luz Póvoa de Varzim auditorium, which will hold, next May 24, the information session “Connected parents: the education challenge in the digital era” . Destined to parents and all those intervening in the education of children and youths, as well as health professionals interested on the theme, the event will count with speakers specialized in different areas and will allow a joint reflection over the impacts of the digital era on adolescence. Access is free, but all those interested in attending the session must register previously , since seats in the hospital’s auditorium are limited. “Connected parents: the education challenge in the digital era” will gather professionals from different areas, from health to education and justice: Ana Castro , developmental paediatrician, who will approach “Impacts of digital on physical and cognitive development” of children and youths; Pedro Vaz , clinical psychologist, who will talk about “Emotional health and social media”; Margarida Adegas Reis, public prosecutor, who will explain sexting, cyberbullying, and crimes associated; Sandra Ferreira, Hospital da Luz nurse and coordinator of the educational program for sexuality in schools; André Figueiredo, GNR commander; Sílvia Vidinha, director of Agrupamento de Escolas de Stª Maria Maior (Viana do Castelo).
