Hospital da Luz Póvoa de Varzim celebrated a protocol with the Volunteer Firefighters of Barcelinhos, establishing special conditions for the corporation elements, their direct family and corporation associates. The protocol was signed on May 27 by José Arlindo Nascimento Costa, president of the firefighter association’s board and Pedro Linhares, general director of Hospital da Luz Póvoa de Varzim (both on the photo above). The initiative emerges in the scope of a strategy of support to the population access to healthcare that Hospital da Luz has been developing. Similar agreements were already signed with other firefighters’ s associations, namely Póvoa de Varzim, Vila do Conde, Amarante and Mesão Frio. The agreement provides discounts on official costs for all services, namely: Emergency consultations 24 hours; Planned consultations in medical or surgical specialties; Dental medicine treatments; Complementary diagnostic exams. To benefit from the agreed conditions (*) , it is mandatory: Present identification document and card certifying your status as a firefighter or member. Social bodies and immediate family members must present a statement issued by the firefighters.
