On May 16 th , the Hearth Month, Hospital da Luz Torres de Lisboa will offer, cardiovascular risk screenings. These screenings are open to the general population, no needing prior scheduling, you simply need to come to our hospital (tower F, floor 0). Cardiovascular diseases, in particular acute myocardial infarction and cerebral vascular accident (stroke), are the main cause of death in Portugal, being essential to prevent and diagnose them early-on. Hospital da Luz Torres de Lisboa has a Cardiovascular Risk and Thrombosis Center that carries on programs of assessment and correction of cardiovascular risk, in a multidisciplinary and integrated way. In these screenings, our professionals will evaluate health indicators such as blood pressure, blood glucose, cholesterol and body mass index. They will also be available to provide information and answer questions about cardiovascular diseases. Don’t miss these screenings!
