Hospital da Luz Clínica da Amadora has a team of General and Family Medicine physicians (GMF) always available and ready to give a prompt and efficient response, either in common situations of disease, or in health surveillance and control of chronic disease. The consultations with our family doctors can happen in-person or remotely via video consultation. GMF is a medical specialty dedicated to the long-term follow up of health in all the different age groups (grandparents, sons and grandsons), thus assuming a unique role in medicine with a wide range of competences. It is, for instance, the right speciality to: Carry out periodic general assessments and keep surveillance of the health condition; Give response to episodes of disease; Carry out a medical evaluation and certification for the practice of leisure sport and for driving licence purposes (including electronic medical certificate); Get advice on prevention care, health surveillance and exams to undertake; Get advice on the need of intervention by physicians of other specialities.
