After the released today of the final decision of the Autoridade da Concorrência (AdC) in a process that directly targets the Luz Saúde group, its Executive Committee hereby informs: Luz Saúde did not infringe the competition regulations, as was defended throughout the process. So, we believe that the decision by the Autoridade da Concorrência will eventually be reversed. The negotiation process with ADSE, that is at issue in the Autoridade da Concorrência final decision, only reflected the methodology adopted for the aforementioned negotiations which, at the request of ADSE itself, was agreed between ADSE and the Associação Portuguesa de Hospitalização Privada (APHP), on behalf of its associates. The objective was to make the negotiation process more efficient and faster, in the interests of ADSE itself. We are currently analyzing in detail the terms of the Autoridade da Concorrência decision and the respective arguments, given that Luz Saúde group will not fail to exercise its rights in the context of this process, through the legitimate means it deems appropriate.
