The 80 students from Escola Básica 1, in Coselhas, visited Hospital da Luz Coimbra, last April 2, in the scope of the initiative “Doctors for a Day”, regularly organized by this unit. In this visit, the children had the opportunity to see some assisting areas of the hospital, as well as get acquainted with health professionals. To learn, experiment and discover the “mysteries” of Medicine and hospital care are the objectives of these visits. The children were able to see, for instance, how the human body reacts to different diseases, practicing on medical simulation equipment, such as IStan, available at Hospital da Luz Coimbra. In the end, all were invited to make a draw, expressing what they most enjoyed or what most called their attention, during the visit, that will most certainly remain in their memories.
