A team of professionals from Hospital da Luz provided, last September 26, information sessions to primary cycle students from Escola do Centeio, in Setúbal, in the scope of the celebrations of the World Heart Day. “To know how to get help in case of emergency”, was the motto of the interventions by cardiologists Lígia Mendes and José Ferreira Santos, clinical director of Hospital da Luz Setúbal, and Miguel Veríssimo, nursing director of the same unit.Several situations of accident suggested by students were analysed and it was explained how to act in each situation, and shown the importance of medical emergency to save lives. The enthusiastic participation of students was decisive for the success of these information sessions. The World Heart Day is annually celebrated on September 29.
