The surgical treatment of obesity implies deep changes in lifestyle, the adjustment at the level of diet being one of the major challenges. Simone Fernandes and Mónica Santos , Hospital da Luz Lisboa nutritionists, will hold, next March 16, a course in webinar format, destined precisely to people who are expected to undergo an obesity surgery or who have already been submitted to this treatment. The course “Diet in obesity surgery: a continuous challenge” views to provide the participants with basic dietary knowledge for success and prevention of nutritional complications, in the context of the surgical treatment of obesity. From a quite practical point of view, the participants will: Learn the metabolic and nutritional implications of obesity and/or resulting from the surgical treatment; Learn how to choose foods and opt for conscious dietary practices focused on goals; Recognize nutritional practices as key in the prevention of surgical, metabolic and nutritional complications in the postoperative period and in long-term success; Learn dietary options and adequate nutritional supplements, in the stages of preparation and post-surgery. Date and time: 16 March 2024, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Webinar format | Program and registration
