The Meeting of the Portuguese Society of Gynaecology (SPG), hold in Espinho on the 16 th and 17 th January, had a strong participation of Hospital da Luz Endometriosis Centre multidisciplinary team. At the meeting dedicated to endometriosis, the consensuses prepared by the Society concerning the clinical approach of this disease were presented. This was the 207 th Meeting of SPG which, beyond the clinical debate, was the stage of the new direction investiture for the 2026-2028 biennium: José Reis remains the secretary-general, and Filipa Osório is the new president of the Gynaecological Endoscopy Section. In the meeting, Hospital da Luz specialists have participated as speakers and moderators: Inês Reis and Patrícia Pinto (Echography team), Filipa Osório, José Reis and João Alves (Gynaecology), Adalgisa Guerra (Imaging), Paulo Roquete (General Surgery), Tito Leitão (Urology), and Mafalda Antunes (Sports Physiology). Internists taking specialization at Hospital da Luz presented several scientific papers – in oral communication format, scientific poster, and video – concerning clinical cases followed up in the Endometriosis Centre. One of the papers was distinguished with the best video award (“Challenges of endometriosis recurrence: how to overcome them”). The oral communication on “Mapping of deep endometriosis in a tertiary centre: correlation between pelvic ultrasound and surgical findings” also received honourable mention. Hospital da Luz offers highly specialized and multidisciplinary follow-up to women affected with endometriosis, a complex disease. The Endometriosis Centre comprises gynaecologists highly differentiated both nationally and internationally recognized in the area, as well as physicians from other specialities and health professionals.
