The impact of communication with patients in the quality of healthcare provided was the main topic of the 11th Nursing Symposium of Hospital Beatriz Ângelo (HBA). The works of the symposium had large participation with the presence of HBA nursing staff and professionals of other Hospital da Luz units and other hospitals. Organized by HBA director of nursing Teresa Simões and nurses Luísa Caldas, Rosa Pereira and Ana Rita Pereira, the symposium discussed themes such as error information and ways to establish a relationship with the patient when non receptive to communication. The panel of speakers counted with João Fernandes, president of the Portuguese Association of Nurses.
