The third issue of the Hospital Beatriz Ângelo journal 'Clinical Cases' has just been published. It contains around 40 papers on clinical cases dealt with by Hospital Beatriz Angelo (HBA) specialists. This third issue of 'Clinical Cases', dated 2015, is part of the 'strategy to publicize cases which due to their originality, rarity, form of presentation and quality of therapeutic results deserve to be published', writes Rui Maio, clinical director of HBA, in its editorial. He stresses that 'the discussion of clinical cases leads to effective technical and scientific differentiation of the professionals involved, quality care by the team at the institution where it occurs and ultimately better care for the patient'. The published works come from a wide range of medical and surgical specialties. They reflect the quality of care produced by the multidisciplinary approach and team work of HBA professionals from the clinical cases they deal with in their hospital work and discuss regularly at weekly HBA clinical sessions. 'This magazine is the natural result of the daily work carried out at our hospital, a result of our service quality and of our weekly clinical sessions, as well as the outcome of our training', says Rui Maio. This third edition of 'Clinical Cases 2015' by HBA has a circulation of three thousand copies, which will be distributed to all doctors in health centers in HBA's specialist areas, as well as to hospitals, professional orders, medical schools and other institutions in the country.
