Hospital da Luz Setúbal and St Peter’s School , in Palmela, are developing a number of activities in this school along the academic year of 2019/2020, viewing to raise the awareness of students, families and professionals for adopting healthier life styles , promoting welfare. These “Health Olympics” started on November 8, with sessions on healthy eating destined to primary and secondary students and provided by Ana Carolina Soares, nutritionist from this hospital. Around 330 students participated in the sessions – which included games (where students were asked to identify foods of regular, sporadic or avoidable consumption) and tables with several food items (where the challenge was to combine healthy snacks). Along this academic year , further sessions are planned on these and other topics, such as smoking and the importance of sleep.
