Hospital da Luz Arrábida joined as sponsor the solidarity concert promoted by the Oporto French High School, last March 11. The initiative gathered the international schools’ community of the city around music, culture, and solidarity. This concert is part of a tradition of collaboration between Oporto international schools – German College, CLIP-Oporto International School, OBS-Oporto British School, besides the French High School – involving students from different nationalities and respective families and teachers. The event was notable for the artistic and musical diversity, with the performance of choirs, bands, and orchestras, involving over 400 youths. Beyond the cultural component, the initiative has had for main goal the raising of funds for social causes and the contribution to support projects of impact on the community. The 7,200 euros raised in the concert reverted in favour of Refood, institution that supports people in need distributing food, thus also fighting food waste. Hospital da Luz Arrábida was present in the event bringing along its mascot Lu, who provided joyful moments to students and families. The presence of Hospital da Luz Arrábida in the event happens in the context of its social responsibility activities. By supporting initiatives that promote values such as solidarity, inclusion, and welfare, we reinforce our commitment with the community, which goes beyond healthcare.
