Hospital da Luz Póvoa de Varzim celebrated a protocol with the Volunteer Firefighters of Vila do Conde (Associação Humanitária de Bombeiros Voluntários de Vila do Conde), establishing special conditions for the corporation elements, their direct family and corporation associates. The protocol was signed last December 10 by Pedro Linhares, general director of Hospital da Luz Póvoa de Varzim (on the left, in the photo) and Renato Lapa, president of the association's board (on the right, in the photo). This initiative emerges in the scope of a strategy of support to the population in the access to healthcare that Hospital da Luz have been developing. A similar agreement has already been signed with the Volunteer Firefighters of Póvoa de Varzim . The agreement provides discounts on official costs for all services, namely: Emergency consultations 24 hours; Planned consultations in medical or surgical specialties; Dental medicine treatments; Complementary diagnostic exams; Surgeries and deliveries; Inpatient services. The beneficiaries can get information on these special conditions through the administrative services of the Volunteer Firefighters of Póvoa de Varzim. To benefit from the agreed conditions*, it is mandatory: To present an identification document (or similar) attesting the condition of firefighter, family member or associate. This document can be obtained through the administrative services of the Volunteer Firefighters of Vila do Conde, located on Rua D. Sancho I, 4480-876 Vila do Conde.
