The 15 th TriBol de Praia Cidade de Vila Real tournament, which took place between July 11 to 13 at the Station Multipurpose Pavilion, counted this year with the support of Hospital da Luz Vila Real , that was one of the sponsors of the “Stars Match” in football. The TriBol is a special tournament which brings the excitement of beach sports to Vila Real, transforming the city in an improbable stage for the practise of modalities such as beach football, volleyball, and handball. The tournament counted with the participation of 16 teams from the North and Central regions of the country, competing in those three modalities. The program included activities such as TriBol Kids, which involved over 200 children in volleyball, football, and handball matches, not forgetting the traditional barbecue, the Triparty, and Stars Matches. Trainers Carlos Felisberto and Carlos Simões and player Gabriel Conceição were, respectively, the “sponsors” for football, volleyball, and handball. This last one, who actually integrated the delegation of the U-21 handball national team that recently became world vice-champion, brought along a few team-mates to the event. The tournament had a solidary aspect: the teams delivered food items to Vila Real Refood, and viewers were invited to follow suit. The Beach TriBol tournament is organized by Vila Real Handball Association, with the support of Vila Real Municipality and Parish, that Hospital da Luz congratulates for the initiative and thanks for the invitation to participate. Partnerships like this are a valuable tool towards the fulfilment of one our missions: promoting healthy lifestyles and preventing disease, which necessarily includes the practise of physical exercise. Vila Real City Beach TriBol is definitely a great celebration of sports and Hospital da Luz is proud to be part of it.
