Hospital da Luz Póvoa de Varzim has celebrated a collaboration protocol with Varzim Lazer – Sports and Leisure Equipment Management Municipal Company , responsible for the promotion of sports and physical education practice and for managing the main municipal sports equipment, namely the public pools and arena. In these spaces, multiple activities are dynamized, such as fitness classes, aquafit, studiofit, weight training, and swimming , among others. The protocol, in effect from September 1, was officialised last August 20 by Pedro Linhares, general director of Hospital da Luz Póvoa de Varzim, and Sílvia Costa, president of the board of Varzim Lazer. Special conditions for collaborators and users The present agreement establishes reciprocal advantageous conditions: Hospital da Luz Póvoa de Varzim collaborators benefit from special conditions in services offered by Varzim Lazer; Varzim Lazer users, as well as collaborators, corporate bodies and direct family, benefit from advantages in health services provided by Hospital da Luz. In this case, the protocol establishes discounts* on the list prices in several health areas, such as: 24 hour Urgent Care consultations; Scheduled specialist medical consultations; General and Family Medicine Consultations; Surgeries; Dental Medicine treatments; Additional diagnostic exams. (*) The discounts provided are not cumulative with other benefits, namely by existing health insurances, agreements, conventions, or protocols. To benefit from these conditions, beneficiaries are required to present an identification document attesting their link to Varzim Lazer or Hospital da Luz, as applicable.
