Hospital da Luz Setúbal was acknowledged by the National Medical Association with educational competence to provide Internal Medicine internship and has already one vacancy available for doctors applying to start their speciality in the beginning of 2026. The speciality medical internship is a fundamental stage of medical training: after a number of years of university and general education, doctors have finally the opportunity to know and study the area of speciality they chose to practice for the rest of their professional life. This is thus a stage of learning focused in the area of knowledge of their preference, with a rapid, intense and daily evolution. These vacancies for internship at Hospital da Luz Setúbal add to the 18 new vacancies of medical internship at Hospital da Luz Lisboa which integrate the national plan of access to specialities. To date, the units within Hospital da Luz Network have already trained 32 medical specialists , the majority remaining working in Luz Saúde group. A total of 48 doctors are presently taking their specialities in Hospital da Luz units (44 at Hospital da Luz Lisboa and 4 at Hospital da Luz Arrábida).
