Hospital da Luz Arrábida has joined once again a solidarity initiative also viewing to promote physical activity, by supporting the 2 nd edition of the Kids Trail , which took place on May 31, in Rio Mau, Penafiel, with the participation of 100 children. As in the first edition in 2025, the amount raised with registrations reverted to the Association for the Development of Mau River Borough, an IPSS in Penafiel that provides domiciliary support to elderly and children. Hospital da Luz Arrábida was present through various activities. Besides the animation guaranteed by mascot Lu and multiple fun activities, Hospital da Luz Arrábida ensured first aid assistance with the presence of paediatric nurses. On the other hand, dentistry screenings were provided by dentist Susana Ferreira . The second Kids Trail comprised differentl events with distances adapted to each age level. This way conviviality and fun have been promoted, while at the same time raising awareness of the young ones to the importance of practising physical exercise. After the success of the first edition, the initiative has tried this year to reinforce the solidarity aspect and the commitment to healthy lifestyles. Whenever the community so requires, Hospital da Luz is present!
