Hospital da Luz Clínica de Leiria was a partner in the 7 th edition of Caldas da Rainha Ladies Open, ensuring the official medical services in one of the major women’s tennis international competitions organized in Portugal . In the end of the tournament, which took place between 13 and 20 September at Caldas da Rainha Municipal Tennis Complex, the winner was the Italian Lisa Pigato, who defeated the Czech Gabriela Knutson by 6-4 and 6-2. Organized in partnership with the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA), the Portuguese Tennis Federation, Caldas da Rainha Municipality, Positive Thunder, and Nuno Mota Tennis Academy, the Open has assumed a new dimension this year integrating the WTA 125 circuit and thus reinforcing its importance in the women’s tennis international scene. This 7 th edition of Caldas da Rainha Ladies Open has counted with the participation of tennis players from over 25 countries, with athletes positioned from 50 to 140 in the world ranking.
