Some running and some walking: the around 500 participants in the 17 th Vila Real São Silvestre event, last January 6, entered the new year with the right foot, doing physical exercise. Hospital da Luz Vila Real supported once again the event, through a nursing team providing clinical assistance to athletes, whenever necessary. The 17 th Vila Real São Silvestre comprised a 10 km-running and a 5 km-walking. Both events with the start line at Porta de Armas do Regimento and the finishing line at Praça do Município. Rui Muga, from Clube Atlético de Macedo de Cavaleiros and Doroteia Peixoto, from Amigos da Montanha, won the events in the respective categories, men and women. This initiative was jointly organized by Vila Real City Council, the 13 th Infantry Regiment, the Athletics Association of Vila Real, the Inatel Foundation, and the Parish Council of Vila Real. Hospital da Luz Vila Real congratulates the organization, the winners and all the participants, which once again made the São Silvestre initiative a success, promoting the practice of physical exercise near the population and thus improving health and well-being . The Vila Real Hospital da Luz team present in this São Silvestre edition included nurses Ana Raquel Gonçalves and Lara Pinto.
