Hospital da Luz Póvoa de Varzim ensured once again clinical assistance to the Ping-pong International Tournament “Cidade da Póvoa de Varzim” , which 22th edition took place from 19 to 20 March, at the Municipal Sports Hall of the city. The competition, one of the major events in the modality national calendar, was organized by Póvoa de Varzim City Hall (Department of Sports) and counted with the participation of 315 athletes, representing 47 national and international clubs. Annamaria Erdel Yi, athlete of the CTM Mirandela, won in the category of senior women, while Gaston Alto, from Argentina, won in the category of senior men. Hospital da Luz Póvoa de Varzim installed a support centre for the event , equipped with all the necessary technical and human resources, giving answer to the requirements of the tournament. The Hospital da Luz Póvoa de Varzim team present at the tournament included nurse Bruna Silva and physiotherapists Joana Teixeira, Maria José Trigo, Nélia Araújo and Paula Castanho.
