Hospital da Luz Setúbal will ensure and coordinate, for the third consecutive year, clinical assistance to Corrida do Vitória, a running race integrated in the celebrations of the 108th anniversary of Vitória Futebol Clube, happening this year next Saturday, December 1. The 10 km-long race, starting at 15:30 p.m., near Estádio do Bonfim, is destined to all athletes, federated and non-federated, physically fit for these kind of events and dully enrolled. Besides the main race, the program also includes a 5 km-long walk event with no competitive goal, starting at 15:35 p.m. at Estádio do Bonfim, near Porta 1 (Gymnastics). As Vitória Futebol Clube’s official medical service provider, Hospital da Luz Setúbal joins once again this running event, that is already a tradition in this region of the country. The participation of about 1.000 athletes and running enthusiasts is expected, among them 50 collaborators from Hospital da Luz Setúbal and other Grupo Luz Saúde units. This year, Luz Saúde collaborators taking part in the running and walking events will be wearing a shirt alluding to the 6th anniversary of Fosun Foundation, Fosun corporate social responsibility institution, reference shareholder of Grupo Luz Saúde. Medical Centre near Estádio do Bonfim Clinical assistance to athletes during the event will be ensured by a medical centre installed by Hospital da Luz Setúbal in the gymnasium next to Estádio do Bonfim main entrance, and which will be equipped with all the necessary technical and human resources. Besides Hospital da Luz Setúbal team – including one doctor, three nurses and a physiotherapist –, a fire brigade and three ambulances will be in place, ready to intervene if necessary.
