The Hospital da Luz units in Setúbal will offer on October 16, the World Food Day, free nutrition screenings and cooking workshops destined to the general public. The goal is not simply to raise awareness for the importance of a healthy diet, but also to explain how to move from theory to practice. The initiative will take place in two phases: In the morning of October 16, at Hospital da Luz Setúbal, a team of health professionals will take screenings to access the body mass index (BMI) of all those interested. Furthermore, nutritionist Sara Moço will be available to clarify doubts and provide suggestions for healthy recipes. In the afternoon, this time at Hospital da Luz Clínica Luísa Todi, nutritionist Ana Carolina Soares will hold two workshops, where she will show how to cook healthy recipes (main dish and dessert). All the participants will be offered small gifts by Hospital da Luz. Those interested in participating in the cooking workshops must enrol until October 14, by sending an e-mail to marketing.setubal@hospitaldaluz.pt . The e-mail must contain the following information: name, phone number, and workshop to participate in (main dish or dessert). Places are limited. Having a healthy diet and maintaining weight within appropriate values helps to prevent health problems, such as diabetes, cardiovascular and oncologic diseases. Do not miss this opportunity to improve your food habits. Participate!
