Hospital da Luz Póvoa de Varzim celebrated, last March 2, a protocol with Liga dos Combatentes – Núcleo de Ribeirão (League of Combatants – Ribeirão Nucleus), establishing special conditions for their associates and direct family, in health services provided in this unit and also in the units of Vila Real, Amarante and Vila Nova de Cerveira. This is another agreement promoted by Hospital da Luz in the context of its strategy of support to the population in access to healthcare . The protocol was signed by José Ferreira dos Santos, the president of Liga dos Combatentes (Núcleo de Ribeirão) and Pedro Linhares, the general-director of the concerned Hospital da Luz units (both in the photo above). Under this agreement, any associate of Liga dos Combatentes or direct family will benefit from discounts* on official costs for all services provided in the four units of Hospital da Luz network above mentioned, namely: Emergency consultations 24 hours; Planned consultations in medical or surgical specialties; Complementary diagnostic exams; Dental medicine treatments; Oncologic treatments; Surgeries and Inpatient services. To benefit from the discounts, the associates of Liga dos Combatentes must present an identification document attesting the condition of associate, besides the National Identity Card. The direct family must present a certification issued by Liga dos Combatentes.
