Hospital da Luz Arrábida clients can count now with a clinical triage service , provided by phone. This new service is ensured by a team 24-hours available , that will refer clients (adults only) to the most appropriate channel and timely, according to their clinical situation. This way, we intend to provide a more comprehensive response to all clients who look for our services and health professionals. Who forms our team and how does it work: The triage team includes highly experienced nurses . Based on the best international practices, we have protocols that are used by our professionals in the triage and referral of clients (for instance, to the Emergency Service, to priority or routine consultation, among other channels). This new service is also available to clear doubts , previous or subsequent to exams/interventions (such as medical exams preparation and post-exam, post-surgery and post-hospitalization follow-up, among others). This clinical triage should not be used in emergency situations – where the national emergency number should be used instead (112 in Portugal).
