At the invitation of the National Physiotherapists Association (Ordem dos Fisioterapeutas), the Orthopaedics team of Hospital da Luz Arrábida held on March 22 an interdisciplinary meeting to discuss clinical cases focused on pathologies of the upper limb, including hand, wrist, shoulder, and elbow. The event has had for main purpose the promotion of experiences exchange between orthopaedists and physiotherapists, reinforcing the importance of an integrated approach in the treatment of diseases of the musculoskeletal system. Collaboration between these two specialties is essential to improve the clinical results and offer patients more efficient recovery plans. The event’s coordination was ensured by orthopaedist José Manuel Teixeira , with the support of physiotherapist Olímpio Pereira (National Physiotherapists Association) and physiotherapist Paulo Oliveira (Hospital da Luz Arrábida). The clinical cases were presented by orthopaedists José Manuel Teixeira and Manuel Mendonça , together with physiotherapists Lisa Robalinho, Pedro Alves, and Ricardo Amorim. The event represented a unique opportunity to debate different therapeutic approaches and rehabilitation strategies, enabling participants to broaden their knowledge and improve clinical practice.
