Hospital da Luz Arrábida supported the 6 th edition of Poço Negro Trail, which took place on July 2, along the Mau river, in Penafiel. Raising funds to help a local association, as well as promoting the region and its unique characteristics were the goals of this solidarity trail. Destined to enthusiasts of running and walking in nature, the Poço Negro Trail is held since 2016, with the purpose of raising funds to support the Association for the Development of River Mau District , which provides home support to the elderly and children in the region. Hospital da Luz Arrábida had already sponsored this event, namely in 2018 and 2022. This year, the Poço Negro Trail counted with over a thousand participants – among which many Hospital da Luz Arrábida collaborators, which also gave a hand in the organization of the event. The initiative repeated the success of the previous editions, being also beyond its solidarity aspects, an important means to promote physical exercise and sports, within a preventive medicine. When community calls, we are there!
