Over 30 clinical cases, reported and analysed by medical and surgical specialists from Hospital Beatriz Ângelo (HBA), for their originality, singularity or form of presentation and the quality of the therapeutic approach proposed, integrated the new edition of the magazine “Casos Clínicos Hospital Beatriz Ângelo” (Clinical Cases HBA), dated 2016, that has just been published. This fourth edition reveals, once again, “the effective technical and scientific differentiation of the professionals involved and the quality of service provided” at HBA, as writes the clinical director Rui Maio in the editorial of the magazine, which will be distributed to professionals of healthcare institutions, universities and entities of the area all over the country. These are cases, refers the same text, “where several specialties were involved during the process of diagnosis and/or therapy” and which were discussed in the internal clinical sessions organized weekly by HBA professionals or in the context of educational initiatives created by the hospital and destined to medicine students and young doctors in internship. This magazine, as Rui Maio writes, “is thus the natural result of the work daily performed in our Hospital: an example of our health assistance quality, an expression of our weekly clinical sessions, and the translation of our educational capacity”.
