About half of the participants in the screening offered by Hospital da Luz Setúbal manifested balance disorders, vertigo problems and dizziness. In the whole, between 18 and 22 February, the Service of Otorhinolaryngology from this hospital performed about a hundred free screening of this kind. Vertigo is one of the most common complaints in the consultation of otorhinolaryngology and it is estimated that around 20% of individuals with ages between 18 and 65 have experienced an episode of balance disorder and 30% of those have complaints all year long. This initiative from Hospital da Luz Setúbal takes place every year registering large adherence.
