Hospital da Luz Setúbal will offer, on April 15 and 18, free voice screening, at the Service of Otorhinolaryngology. This initiative is a partnership with Escola Superior de Saúde, from Instituto Politécnico de Setúbal, and is integrated in World Voice Day (on April 16), viewing to raise the population awareness to the importance of voice and the precautions to take towards its preservation. This screening at Hospital da Luz Setúbal will be provided through medical observation and have for purpose the timely detection of laryngeal pathologies, the identification of improper use habits and vocal abuse, besides the diffusion of guidelines on cautions to take concerning the voice. If you have vocal fatigue, progressive and prolonged roughness (superior to two weeks), pain and foreign body sensation, chronic cough or constant throat clearing, do not hesitate to do the screening. All those interested should schedule prior appointment (limited number of vacancies).
