Hospital da Luz Póvoa de Varzim joined Colégio de Amorim and the Portuguese League Against Cancer in the 1 4 th Solidarity Walk / 13 th Solidarity Run , that took place in the city of Póvoa along the afternoon of May 16. The initiative has allowed to raise 17,300 euros in favour of the League (Northern Regional Nucleus). The event started in Largo do Passeio Alegre, and the participants enrolled distributed themselves between the 10-km run and the 5-km walk, along the city’s coastal road. More than a sports initiative, this was a moment of union, solidarity and awareness raising to the importance of prevention and the adoption of healthy lifestyles in the fight against cancer. Hospital da Luz Póvoa de Varzim thanks Colégio de Amorim for the invitation to participate in the initiative and thanks all the collaborators and entities involved for taking part in such a special cause.
