Patient Innovation is a platform where patients and caretakers from all over the word can sign in and share solutions (such as devices, diagnostic tools or digital innovations), that they have created themselves or developed with the help of collaborators, in the sense of overcoming the issues imposed by their diseases or health conditions. By means of partners and scientific sponsors, Patient Innovation supports the development of such solutions, this boot-camp being the opportunity for participants to elaborate on the medical and technological aspects of their innovations, with the help of specialists. Along two weeks, the Patient Innovation boot-camp program combines in-person activities (in Lisbon and Copenhagen) and online sessions . The participants in the 2021 boot-camp come from 9 different countries: Spain, Switzerland, Sweden, Ireland, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Germany, England, Turkey and Portugal. Accompanying the participants were nine students from the Master’s Degree in Innovation in Healthcare of the Copenhagen Business School, that are taking part in an exchange program at Nova SBE, in the Master’s Degree of Impact Entrepreneurism and Innovation. Since its establishment in 2014, the Patient Innovation has already welcomed over a thousand new solutions , from 80 countries.
