About 1,500 athletes and walking fans have participated on April 12 in the ninth edition of Vila Real Half-Marathon. The event along some of the main streets of the city is already a tradition and counted once again with Hospital da Luz Vila Real support. The Hospital da Luz team comprised nurses Beatriz Mourão and Diana Ferreira, who have ensured clinical and nursing assistance to the participants in the events: the half-marathon (21 km), the mini marathon (7 km), and the walking (5 km). For the first time, a Mobility Race took place (12 km in wheelchair). The competition was organized by Vila Real Athletics Association and the City Council, being promoted by Excellus. Hospital da Luz Vila Real thanks the organization for the opportunity to take part in another edition of this emblematic competition. We congratulate all the participants and in particular the winners in the men and women categories: Rui Texeira, from AD Vila Chã Trail Team, and Raquel Sampaio, from União Desportiva de Várzea team.
