Hospital da Luz Clínica de Cerveira celebrated a protocol with the Volunteer Firefighters of this city (Associação Humanitária de Bombeiros Voluntários de Cerveira), establishing special conditions for the corporation elements, their direct family and corporation associates. The protocol was signed last July 4 by Pedro Linhares, general director of Hospital da Luz Clínica de Cerveira and Raul Augusto Peres e Leiro Gonçalves, vice-president of the association's board. This initiative emerges in the scope of a strategy of support to the population in the access to healthcare that Hospital da Luz have been developing. Similar agreements have already been signed with the Volunteer Firefighters of Amarante, Póvoa de Varzim and Vila do Conde, among other institutions. The agreement provides discounts on official costs for all services (*) , namely: Same-day medical consultations, without appointment; Planned consultations in medical or surgical specialties; Dental medicine treatments; Complementary diagnostic exams. To benefit from the agreed conditions, it is mandatory: To present an identification document (or similar) attesting the condition of firefighter or associate. Social board and direct family members must present a declaration issued by the firefighters.
