Hundreds of athletes and walkers took part in the eighth edition of the Vila Real Half-Marathon, on April 13 th . The race, along some of the city's main roads, is already a tradition and once again had the support of Hospital da Luz Vila Real. The Hospital da Luz team was made up of nurses Vera Ribeiro and Diana Ferreira , who provided clinical and nursing assistance to the participants in the races: the half-marathon (21 km), the mini-marathon (7 km) and the walk (5 km). The competition was organized by the Vila Real Athletics Association, in cooperation with Vila Real Town Hall, and promoted by Excellus. For the first time, there was a Mobility Run (12km in a wheelchair). Hospital da Luz Vila Real congratulates all the participants, with a special mention to the winners in the male and female categories: Rui Teixeira and Tânia Fernandes. Playing sport is essential for a healthier life and for preventing illness. Playing sport safely is also one of Hospital da Luz's objectives .
