Hospital da Misericórdia de Évora will mark the World Voice Day, on April 16, with a very special session: a performance of the Alcáçovas Workers Choir (between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m.). We will celebrate this way the importance of voice to the life and health of everyone in general, besides trying to raise awareness of the public for the care to take to preserve it. On this World Voice Day, remember that it is thanks to the voice that we are able to communicate, being the main tool of work for many professionals. Vocal alterations, pain or hoarseness may be signs of disease. Whatever the case, be attentive and do not hesitate to take a voice screening in Otorhinolaryngology consultation, if you have symptoms such as: Vocal fatigue; Progressive and prolonged hoarseness (more than two weeks); Pain or foreign body sensation in the throat; Chronic coughing or constant throat clearing.
